    Hi

We have a steel framed and steel clad and insulated workshop and
    office.

I think due to the steelwork and cladding we are blocking the radio
    signal within the building.

Does anyone know of a device where we can mount an external aerial and
'boost' the signal within the building?

Primarily for one mobile, but it would be useful if they we could
handle more than one mobile, but not necessarily at the same time.

Very good answer, but there are no windows in this building, hence my
    question.

    http://cellantenna.co.uk/

http://www.phonelabs.com/prd05.asp (assuming there's at least one spot
where you can receive a signal with one phone)
