if you really want a delivery report, and its an important one, set up a
template and use that to send a text msg. I can live without being told my
texts have arrived, I'd be hearing tones all day long!

I'll stick with Orange and Vodafone. I find them invaluable at
determining if someone has got my text without going to the trouble of
    setting up templates etc.

Setting up a template is hardly brain surgery is it?

Orange now charge for delivery reports, albeit 1pence per delivery report.

What's wrong with o2's billing system? It used to get things wrong in the
past admittedly, but i find it very good for working out who and at what
time I've called folk, takes two and a half to three days to update online
    mind you.

I think the Nokia series 60 delivery reports are the best. Just flashes up
if it's delivered - No beeping, no vibrating, no clogging up the inbox! Not
even anything left on the screen. That way, if I want to know it's delivered
I can wait for it to flash up. Or simply look in the reports folder later.

O2 are so backward - No "Proper" delivery reports is enough of a reason for
me at least, not to join them....

I like Sony Ericsson's idea. The delivery report doesn't get saved but
it's saved in the status of the sent msg and you can open that msg and
an option lets you see the delivery status.

Yeah, this is better. The Nokia can be irritating, I used to unlock mine,
and for some reason the firmware would then make it disappear, never to be
seen again. The old inbox ones were secure at least, but SE's version is
good too for the odd occasion you need to be reminded.
