Yep for the sake of about £1.05 extra of so I think it's worth getting -
certainly for those cashback claims where losing one claim forfeits the
remainder (& original bills are needed - such as phones2udirect).

Unsurprisingly my £5.45 SD letter was tracked and arrived before 1pm today.

I'll now need to write to RM to see what I can sort out re.
compensation. Have still got to send my 2nd cashback claim in - will
give e2save one more call beforehand to check.

    Cheers

Exactly - it makes one wonder what the benefit of RD is over just
getting a Proof of Postage when they don't seem to go to the bother of
posting any tracking data. I can understand that SD is their premium
service and that mail sent by it is tracked separately, but what's
really the point of RD if they just charge 60p to do nothing with it?!

Exactly the same has just happened to me. Sent first by recorded on
8/4/06, 10 days later no conformation. Sent recorded again on 18/4/06,
again no conformation. So I have now sent by special delivery &
received conformation. Seems very suspect, but I'm not going to
    speculate.

Interestingly, I had a similar experience with Onestopphoneshop,

after 4 months. i also sent in the voucher and 4th bill as requested
and it was returned as too early. I continued to agitate for my £35
and eventually stopped the direct debit to '3'. they, of course, were
not very pleased and threatened all sorts of action but seem to have
given up now and are leaving me in peace with a disconnected phone.

I complained to Royal Mail - received 2 books of 1st class stamps so far
and a promise to 'investigate' - nothing more so far. They said my
third claim for non-delivery was too early so I'll be writing in again
    to them.

    Cheers

I believe that the problem lies squarely with e2Save who will do just about anything to avoid the honouring of chequebacks from honest customers.
