    Hey guys,

I bought one of those BB5 nokia unlockers off of ebay, however, it
wont have owt to do with my N70, despite it supposed to be being
able to unlock it, anyway, it's supposed to have a 60% success rate,
however I'm quite sceptical, so, what I was wondering was, if any of
you out there have a BB5 locked phone on any of the UK Networks and
want me to have a go at unlocking it then I will do, for free of
course, then just let me know if it works or not!

If it's successful at all then I'll post to the group and let you
    all know!

email me on [email protected] if you wanna try! I'll reply
as soon as I get chance.

    Cheers, Charlie.

You have been ripped off, tell the seller you want a refund and leave a neg.
There is currently no solution available for any bb5 handset no matter what
the rip off ebay sellers will make you think

I only paid £2 for it, hardly worth the tit for tat negative for a
negative on ebay. Besides, it looks like you're the one ripping
people off, charging £39.99 for an imei unlock code and then only
    for vodafone handsets!

Vodafone themselves only charge £19.99! I'll be calling them tomorrow
    to get my code.

Thanks for todays laugh, calling Col a rip off merchant.

Try a google search on Col, he vertually wrote the book on unlocking,
for what must be coming up to ten years now

Yes it is, that's the whole point of the feedback system, and if people
don't make a stand others will get scammed. You may have paid £2, the next
    person may pay £200.

Colin ripping people off? Not at all, Colin has a good service and very good
reputation. He offers remote IMEI Vodafone unlocks for £14.99, which is
cheaper than Vodafone ... I I can guarantee that's not all profit.

So the seller continues suckering more gullible buyers such as yourself by
    selling software that doesn't work.

You really don't have a clue do you? If you think it's such a rip off, why
don't you buy the kit and logs to do it yourself and sell the service for £2
a throw. You'll have many happy customers, but you'll be about £25 quid
down on each unlock you do.

My service works, what you paid for doesn't. That to me makes it him who's
ripping people off not me. It makes no difference if you paid 2p, £2, £200,
if it doesn't work then you have been ripped off.

There are many reasons why some people can't get the unlock code from
vodafone for £19.99 and the service I offer is for those who can't, not
those who can, if someone can't get the code from vodafone and are happy to
use a third party and happy to pay the price charged, how is that a rip off?
It's not as if they can get it cheaper anywhere else, unless you can show me
    somewhere cheaper?

Anyway sorry for trying to help, all I posted for was to let you know it
doesn't work, and not to waste your time messing about it with, I guarantee
100% it has a success rate of 0%, not 60 or 80% as he states on his auction,
but you continue paying for rubbish that doesn't work and wasting your money
if thats what you want to do.

Can you tell me some of those reasons why people can't get the unlock
code from vodafone? I can't think of any really. If you bought the
phone from them you can get an unlock code from them for £19.99,
however, that's whilst the phone is in contract, if you've had it longer
than 12 months then you get the unlock code for free.

For me £2 was a good enough gamble, I've lost a lot more in fruit
machines, if it had worked, result, it didn't, I only lost 2 quid.

The person unlocking the phone is not the registered owner (e.g. dad
buys a phone for the son who is 17).

If the customer is in a billing dispute and owes Vodafone money then
they also won't get the code from Vodafone.
