Retrieving AOL email through O2

Trying to get connected to the AOL mail server through an O2 mobile but
have hit a hitch, can anyone help?

Apparently AOL has been open to IMAP4 access for some time now but when
setting up email through O2 you must use their POP3 server
mail.o2.co.uk for everything rather than AOL's imap.uk.aol.com. I would
think there is a way around this as the Blackberry can handle AOL mail
on an O2 account.

Yes, get a "Proper" pop3 email account, then it's a lot simpler!

I know! I take it nobody has ever managed this?
