#1 | | Guest | Hi,
After reading here that Orange are planning to charge for itemised
billing, my questions are...
- Does this apply to OVP Virgin users?
- If so, but I make no calls, am I still charged for itemised billing?
I only use my Orange SIM when I'm in the UK a couple of times a year, so
I'd like to know if I can leave ringing customer services till I get
back before or I have to mess around ringing from abroad before my next
billing date (22nd).
Thanks,
Dan.

No, only the new animal tariffs.

You probably would be yes. I get bills for 0.00 with no calls on them,
so if a bill is produced I guess you would get charged.

If they did, is it a charge per bill or charge per billed account?
I have four bills on one account and am wondering if that would be one
charge or four.
As an aside, I've tried a few of times to get Orange to amalgamate my 3
accounts (6 OVP + 1 ED50 Line 2) into one account and they've always
said that it's on the system and will go through but never does. Any
ideas?

Per phone number I think (excluding Line 2).

0800 079 0005 during office hours - account transfer team. Quote both
account numbers, job done.

Just for clarification:
Old plans, such as Talk xx, Everytime, Your Plan, Everyday 50 etc have free
IB.
OVP T-Mobile: £1 for IB
OVP O2: 99p for IB
OVP Vodafone : £1.76 for IB
OVP Virgin: Free IB
OVP BT Mobile: Free IB
Select tariffs: Free IB
Online tariffs that request paper billing: £1 for IB
Animal Tariffs: £1.50 for IB
Corporate, Business Plus, Business Solutions and Liberate: Free IB
Online billing will itemise all the above for free.
Also, each number on your bill will have the separate charges for IB on each
account, and from now on, will differentiate between mobile numbers on the
account. For example, on the old system, if you had a Talk Time 200 with
free IB on one phone, but on the other you had OVP O2 200 and requested no
IB, both would have been itemised by default, because if one phone is
itemised, then they all were, and there was no charge applied for the OVP
one.
That's all changed now, as each mobile number can be either itemised
separately or not, and the relevant IB charges applied.

I'm sure that's what I've done in the past, but I'll try again. Cheers

They couldn't do it, but directed me to call 450 then option 2. This I
did, and they seem confident that it should all go through by my next
billing date.
I've heard that before, mind, so I'm not holding my breath :-)

450 is pay-as-you-talk customer services. I understood from your
previous posts that you had 2 contract accounts.

You're right. It was 150 not 450.
Thankfully my phone has a better memory than I do.
