I was grabbed by the HR Manager today as two key tops had fallen off her
about-1-year-old Nokia 6820. Looking at the plastic keycaps there are no
obvious latches or 'snap on' mouldings so I presume that the keycaps are
glued or affixed to the top of the plastic switch domes via a sticky pad (?)

Anyway, the phone has been well looked after (not dropped etc.) so I
phoned Orange to see whether it was covered for replacement in any shape
or form only to be told 'that would be wear and tear' so no dice. Not
that I am too bothered as Orange are probably going to lose all our
business (14 phones) soon anyway, but I would have thought that keycaps
falling off a 1 year old phone is not in the same league as wanting a
replacement just because the case was scratched or the phone had been
    dropped etc.?

I didn't want to do a free upgrade on the phone to avoid being saddled
with another 12 months of contract so I have superglued the keycaps back
in place (seems to have worked fine!), but I just wondered how rigid are
Orange's rules on 'wear and tear' - would I have perhaps got a different
outcome with a different Business Team droid?

To add insult to injury, I asked the droid for a rundown of the phones
that were still within a 12 month contract period and he refused saying
I would have to email the request.

Oh well, I suppose there's little point in being nice to a company than
'only' spends around £1K/month with you and is likely to need about 5
more phones in the near future.

    Tee hee!

I have been with Orange for many, many years but I must say that their
customer service, service coverage and overall value for money has gone
downhill over the last year or so. I would previously have recommended
Orange to anyone who asked my opinion, but not any more.

So what are you going to do when 3G is the only system still going, at
    2100MHz?

Very true that is, already done a few migrations from them. The only
thing holding me back to completely move is answerfax and conference
    call.

Does anyone here know which networks allow you to initiate all calls
on a conference like with orange. (at least 5calls)

    Cheers

I don't know if that exact amount of calls can be initiated, but surely
Vodafone, who seem to be the best for business, so I'm repeatedly told, do
    it?

All real networks offer this service AFAIK, you just have to ask for it
    to be enabled.
