v600

help please! have bought a v600 from a friend, was originally on the t
mobile network. have put my orange sim in and after a few problems phone now
working.had to get orange to go through settings manually,the phone would
not accept the message setting update. only problem not is that when
switching phone off and on there is an annoying tone! have no book to refer
to, contacted orange they say its because of the t mobile network originally
installed, but have a word with motorola. i have and they say its to do with
the orange network............going mad slowly. can anybody please help,
