Calls not getting through

My family has a number of contract mobiles, mostly with Three, but my wife
is having problems with calls not getting through but going immediately to
answerphone. The phone has no diverts and no bars and the problem is
intermittent. She has called Three five times but each time when they call
they test and are successful in getting through and refuse to take further
action. They don't seem to accept the problem as being intermittent.

We can have the other Three phones in the same place and they get the calls
first time and every time so any thoughts on what to do next. The phone is
an LG880 only a few months old - could it have a fault?

That happens to me a several of my firnds and family. It's been happening
ever since I've been with Three (19 months).

It's weired 'cos I'm so used to it now when I've re-dialed a few times
it'll go through and vice versa.

I (we all) thought it was just normal practice of calling within Three ;-)

I've only 4 months to see out and the contract will be cancelled as I now
have o2 online 500 talker (1,000 anytime, x-net calls (un-used is
rollover)) and 150 texts plus a phone (3G or non-3G) and bluetooth headset
all for £35 per month (18 month contract).

AFAIK on o2:
1 voice minute = 1 video minute, so in effect you can do 1,000 video
minutes if you want!

I will honestly be pleased to see them (Three) go as they are simply just
too un-predicable.

We have three Thee phones on contract and have done for several years
without problem but this is getting me down as they seem unwilling to take
notice.

It does have diverts - to answerphone.

Most likely to be network congestion. The bummer is there are no visible
signs to network congestion. If a call comes in when the network is busy
then it's got nowhere else to go except answerphone.

Apart from three increasing their capacity there is nothing they can do.
You can change networks.

It's possible but I'd still favour the network congestion scenario.
