    Hi Folks,

Just spent 3 intense weeks on a steep learning curve with Asterisk@home
and now have a cracking system. I was wondering about calls to
cellphones and came across some sites flogging "Fixed Cellular Terminal"
devices but they all seemed to start at around £1300-£1700 so can anyone
provide some insight into lower cost alternatives/options or even just
confirm that those prices are 'about right'. Any other ways to reduce
call costs using other kit or third parties?

    Much appreciated.

Thanks - just come across the Dock-N-Talk as it happens. Does the setup
let anyone dial it as an extension on the PBX and then specify which
specific number they want to dial, or can you set it up as an outbound
    route for certain cellphone numbers?

    Sorry, new to all this!

Well,......I use mine as a trunk in Asterisk. So any calls which start
07 (except the 30+ppm ones) go out on that.

I also have a DID that my family can call from their PAYG Mobs. The DID
doesn't answer but initiates a call back using the cellular trunk &
    gives them dialtone.

Callers ringing in on the mobile number get handled by *

The is also an independant phone socket on the spa3000 which acts as an
    extension to *

Much obliged - last couple of Qs...

Do you get any caller ID info fed back from the cellphone/SPA to * or do
you just route inbounds to a fixed extn?

Where did you buy your Dock?

Caller ID passes from mobile to SPA to Asterisk perfectly. If the name
is stored in the mobile, that appears in X-lite & the asterisk CDRs as
    well.

I bought it from "the only UK importer" at the time.

He was very helpful. Even sent me the dock-n-talk on approval.

Will let you have details if you wish but it will have to be tomorrow.

Give Scott Allison of Freedom Mobiles a ring on 0845 330 8280 and ask
about Nokia Premicell or similar devices.
