Unlock out of the box?

I want to buy a K300i Sony Ericson phone. Now can i take it straight
from the box and unlock it?

If there is enough battery, yes. It's generally best to charge the
battery fully first though.

Using the above aforementioned website, it is 10 euros, or around £6 per go.
It will also 'de-brand' your phone, getting rid of any customised
o2/t-mobile/vodafone/you-get-the-gist firmware, so you get an unmolested
interface!

Read the instructions carefully, there is a flash presentation on how to
work the software which will likely help you a lot.
