I took out a 12 month contract through them which gave half price rental
via 2 cashback claims (£75 each) at 6 and 12 months. 6 months claim
went through fine and received a cheque within their promised
timescales. 12 month claim just went through too, this time being paid
directly into my back account.
Their timescales for payment is quite slow it felt, but they met those
timescales, so no complaint from me.
I'd recommend them based on previous performance - although I think they
require more claims now than they used it.

Ditto what David said - I'm just about to submit my claim for the
second half of my cashback, but the first one was handled very
quickly. An email to inform me the claim had been arrived and a second
one to tell me when the cheque would be issued.

They certainly paid up my first cashback payment last month. They have
a very helpful and forthcoming customer services number, too, which
doesn't send you round the houses.

This is a reply to a post I made a long time ago. I am still awaiting
my second, and last, payment from my old deal.
However, I looked up some deals, on mobileshop, for a friend who
wanted a K800i.
We went into CPW to try out the phone. Their deal, on the same tariff
was only £10 more than mobileshop's cashback deal. When you consider
the cost of registed post and the incertainty of the casheback it
seemed to be a good deal for my friend so he took it.
The CPW tariff deal didn't appear to be on thier web site so it looks
as though they are worth a visit.
I will still use mobileshop if their deal is good - providing I get my
cashback from my last deal.

The post office delivered one of my claims to mobileshop a few days late,
and mobileshop wouldn't budge paying up.
I now have to use recorded delivery with them to be sure
I won't be using mobileshop for cashback contracts in future,
their clams window is too short

A friend has recently taken out a mobileshop deal.............they
didn't provide her with vouchers, you just send in the relevant invoice
with your unique offer code written on it.

They do tell you to use Recorded or Special Delivery on all their
paperwork as they say if it's late, they will not pay out.
Pretty clear, and their windows have been fine for me. Got £150 out of
them in 2 claims, with no problems. Very helpful when emailing to ask
about what/when to send.

I have an interesting situation with One Stop Phone Shop. I got a
contract for a Vodafone deal and after a few days asked about porting my
co-existing T-Mobile no. They said you can only do it when buying. I
said OK I not bothered.
I sent off my cashback voucher on time and got it posted back saying it
was too early.
I phoned and asked why and they realised I never did port my number and
the connection date was date of purchase.
Sorry they said, post everything back and we will pay.
No I won't do that I said I have fulfilled my part of the contract.
They said they would not pay unless I sent the voucher back.
I emailed saying strict compliance with the contract was required by
them and now by me. Apart from an automated reply nothing further was
heard from them.
So I have made a County Court claim via Moneyclaim.gov.uk this week.
I'll let you know how I get on.

I've abandoned Recorded Delivery as I've now had two delivered
without any record being kept. Royal Mail then told me that I'd have
to wait 28 days before they would follow-up on the possible
non-delivery - beyond the chequeback delivery window.
The insurance should also cover you, provided the package contains
non-replaceable vouchers which have the full face value of the claim.

You are incorrect, Recorded delivery ie standard RM compensation cover
covers the >>>>VALUE<<<<< OF THE CONTENTS to a current maximum of £32.
As 'the contents' are a bit of paper with no monetary value except it's
value as a small piece of paper you will not be paid out compensation
should it go missing. If you want compensation for THE CONSEQUENCES of
that 'bit of paper' going missing ie the value of the cashback claim
that that 'bit of paper' represented then you needed to send the
package by RM Special Delivery with the additional 'consequential loss'
compensation cover to the value of the cashback claim that the 'bit of
paper' represented had it arrived safely at it's destination - this
will cost around £5 - £6 per claim and needs factoring in to the
original cashback deal to see if it's worth it.
Recorded delivery is pointless for cashbacks except to hope the system
shows you they received the paperwork within the time constraints.
I bet RM get sick of explaining this to disgruntled punters who don't
fully grasp the small print of their various services and compensation
options.

I didn't mention Recorded Delivery. Special Delivery includes
insurance. Under that insurance I'd say that you have a pretty good
claim for loss of the voucher (because if the voucher cannot be
re-issued then it effectively carries the full value of the claim).
You also have a good claim for compensation if the voucher is late
because you have paid for next day delivery.
