No, naughty of me.

As you have probably gathered its a minefield out there. Every shop
have their own special offers, I mean for goodness sake the telcos even
have different web offers from those in their own shops and even
telephone sales centres.

Perhaps if you could tell the NG what exactly you are looking for, is
it voice calls, texts, video, data, a mixture? Is Voda your preference
as to network or are you open on that, is it only in the UK or do you
also want to roam a lot, do you want a phone, SIM only etc etc?
Regards

Not really a dumbass question...it's one of the more confusing aspects
of the industry.

Anyway, as of the beginning of May 2006 any Vodafone contract purchased
at Carphone Warehouse or one of their numerous online outlets is now
serviced by Vodafone directly.

The same has been true of Phones4U for some time now, since Vodafone
bought Singlepoint (sometime in 2005, IIRC).

Infact...ever since CPW handed their Vodafone customer base back to
Vodafone I'm struggling to think of any remaining independent Vodafone
service providers.

Can anyone come up with any retailers that don't sell (consumer)
Vodafone contracts that are administered directly by Vodafone?

Carphone accounts still haven't moved over to vodafone direct yet.

As for service providers a full list can be found at....

Well all new contracts are now passed on to Voda - As for existing
contracts, I guess it's just a matter of an orderly handover over
existing customer data - that's unlikely to happen overnight. Afterall,
it took a while for Voda to properly subsume Singlepoint.

I never realised that the list was still so long...I wonder how many (if
any) of these are consumer focussed?
