You thought wrong. Itemised billing is an additional service, which can be
cancelled. See my post below as to why I think Orange are doing this (By the
way - that is not the company line - but Orange are very environmentally
    aware at the moment)

Not on OVP tarriffs where itemized billing is supposed to follow (and cost
the same as) the matched operator....OK others have said that this *MAY* still
be the case....in which case the bill wording is deliberately misleading!

Also any change to most contract requires one months notice...which Orange have
    *NOT* given in this case!

    Yes they have.

You get your bill in June with the notice on it - exactly one month later,
you get your July bill with the charge. Exactly one months notice.

If you bothered to read the post above, you'd see that OVP tariffs above are
charged already for IB at differing rates and these *WILL NOT* change.

    Jeez!

Simon. I guess that OVP Virgin is a slight exception, in that there is
no billing charge included before July, as per the actual Virgin D/D
    arrangements.

I still have my fingers crossed that this will be included in the
exempted traiffs, as per your original posting. Whilst I do not doubt
the accuracy of your original posting and synopsis, I am 'once bitten
and twice shy' of Orange inaccuracies.

I read all of your claims. If what you said is true the bill wording is
100% misleading *AND* there is no further explanation on the Orange web-site

    : Jeez!

Quite...now do we believe YOUR unsubtantiated claims or Orange!???

    Simon, I'm sure you're right but.......................what's the
betting there will be a whole raft of posts in one month's time from
people on OVP tariffs who've been charged?

If there are, then a simple call to 150 will correct the error. CSS will
only apply the IB charge to specif tariffs in "sweeps", so it shouldn't
    happen.

I'm on OVP VT500 (price matched from "3") and have been informed I'll
    be charged.

I have ED50 and OVP-Virgin on my account. Until now I've not been charged,
but been informed I'd be charged the £1.50 charge from next month unless I
    opted out.
