Cross Wired? o2?

Today i was on a call to my mum, and got a few seconds of silence, then
a woman who sounded like she was from around here talking to what seemed
herself! But it was obvious i was listening to half of another telephone
call. I hang up and called back my mum, who said she had just been cut
off completely.

Also a few weeks ago, my mum was on a call to someone in Scotland, on
their three mobile, which was probably using o2. My mum could no longer
hear my aunt, and could then here a Scottish man having a chat to
himself.. Or someone else of course.

It seems to me like the o2 network have some serious problems? I cant
stand the network, when porting in a while ago they had my number
disconnected for around 28 hours, then i had two weeks of appalling
service before porting out. I had 2 evenings where my phone was useless,
no calls or texts would work in either direction.

This happened to other peopole?

Cheers, Sean

No. I've been using O2 for nearly a year (previously Orange) and can't
say I have had any problems with calls.

You most probably experienced a hand-off to another cell (unsucessfully).
You were either assigned a partial circuit which was already in used by
another party, or the new cell rejected the hand-off and your mobile
uncessfully tried to returned to the old cell which had already assigned
your circuit to someone else. Not suppose to happend of course, but when
operation pick and mix infrasture equipment from different manufactures,
this can happen.
