I would have thought TomTom will make you want to buy the software again.
But you are right, the map data should be the same.
The SP3 or C500 is a great phone. It is the first Smartphone that HTC got
right and the only phone I've kept for more than 5 minutes. I've just moved
to a SP5 (because my new TomTom Go won't link to the C500) and to be honest
the slight extra bulk and cheaper feel of it compared to the C500 has
disappointed me quite a lot, I wish I could go back.
Of course I now have an unlocked, boxed, C500 sitting here, that could be
sold cheap. You could use the extra cash for TomTom.

Email me if
interested.
Don't get a C550 or equivalent, they just aren't very good.
Cheers
Marc
