Anybody know this company?

Just had a company ring me on my mobile purporting to have something to do
with Vodafone. The phone is a 5 year old PAYG and as soon as the guy said'
your coming to the end of your 12 month contract' I knew it was dodgey.
Does anyone know who they are, the number came up as 01792 350023. I know
I should have kept him talking, but he interrupted my tea!!.

Called me today!

Bloke called Rob from someone communications. Said "I understand you
are near the end of your contract.." which I just said "No" - and he
said "You're not? OK thank you... goodbye"

So not too bad, never seemed like he was trying to trick me from the
word to go - shame he called me at work or I could have wasted some of
his time

Yes, he first called me this morning, but I was at work so got missed call
message. The area code is Swansea. Oh well not the only one then.

I missed the call at around midday as well. Answered the 2nd call which
was just gone 4pm.

I wonder where they get this information from? I'm actually about 6
months off my contract coming to an end, though there was no way I was
going to tell them that

There is a biggish legit mobile phone company based in Swansea - forget
their name. There was also a scandal a few years back with some dodgy
company set up re mobile phones that, if I recall correctly, went bankrupt
owing large sums of money and leaving loads of people out of work. Again,
forget the name. Perhaps it is worth ringing Swansea City Council's Trade
Description's department and asking a few questions.

No - but like I say, I don't think they were really trying to con me -
he wasn't pushy, fairly polite, told me the company name (without me
asking) - and they sent the caller ID.

Sure, it could be seen as a 'nuisance call' - but I get these things so
rarely it really didn't bother me.
