Does Nokia DKU-2 Cable charge when connected?

Hi,

I need a car charger for my 6230i and instead of having yet another
cigar lighter plug rattling around in my car I wondered if anyone could
tell me whether the DKU-2 USB data cable also charged the phone over
the pop-port.

If it does, then I could just plug it into my Cigar Lighter-->USB
adaptor.

Oh well..it's a shame, especially since you can get 3rd party USB
cables that claim to also charge via the pop port.

I've ordered the cigarette lighter charger for the car (you know I must
have about 5 of those lying around the house but they have all
dissapeared now that I need one!) and ordered the USB cable anyway so I
can plug my phone into my PC.
