I have no idea, like I said I'm only a wage slave not management, but I
know my boss is always moaning about the lack of coverage. As to why they
don't install an in-building system, it took me three months to get my
boss to sign off on getting me a landline installed when I moved into an
office without one..! (We use Featurenet so all "extensions" are in
reality cabled directly back to BT). Getting them to pay for something as
expensive as that would be a non-starter..!

Actually, I was trying to be a little humourous that's all.
It was about your post saying:
    > At least steam engines have character.

    Sorry to have bothered you.

You didn't bother me at all. However you didn't answer the question - what
are you hiding by not using your real name..?

I understand why people munge their email addresses on usenet in order to
minimise spam, but why hide your name..?

You *still* haven't answered the question, why not use your real name..?
I'm not being funny, I really want to know. I see no benefit in hiding it.
    Email addresses, yes, names, no.

Service not too sure but for number range in the tariff I'd choose O2.
On O2 High Street contract tariffs you can call 0800,0870,0845 and
afaik 0844 as inclusive minutes. With access to 0870 you can call a
range of other services... international calls, chat lines, companies
    etc.
Orange, currently, are permiting calls to 07744 numbers. You can do
the same from there (when dialling the appropriate numbers) as this
allows calls to 0870s etc. You never know though if things will change
but these are big plus points for me. I find tariffs from other
providers too limiting. It seems so unfair that you have hundreds of
minutes, on a T-mobile account, for example, and then you have to pay
extra to call an 08 number. I wish ofcom would do something about
    that!
    Remove 'no_spam_' from email address.

    Guys

I wish you both do not hijack topics where one is after some
information. If you both wish to have a go at each other, why not
    start your own thread?

Because I asked a simple question and it *still* hasn't been answered.

I note you are hiding your name as well.

I used it once when I first started on the net. No shame in that, everyone
    makes mistakes.
