Hi All,

We're writing an application that uses the GlobeTrotter GSM PCMCIA card
to retrieve and send MMS messages from a PC. Towards this we've set-up
the network connections using the exposed GSM modem and the GPRS MMS
settings given on various web pages ( e.g.
http://www.filesaveas.com/mms.html ). So, for example the relevant
details of the network connections we define are:

--------------------------------------------------
Orange MMS

Phone Number: *99***1#
User name: Orange
Password: Multimedia
Extra Settings: at+cgdcont=1,"IP","orangemms"
--------------------------------------------------
Voda MMS

Phone Number: *99***1#
User name: wap
Password: wap
Extra Settings: at+cgdcont=1,"IP","wap.vodafone.co.uk"
--------------------------------------------------

When we put the Orange SIM (with GPRS and MMS enabled) into the Options
card and click open the Orange MMS connection the connection is
established OK and our application can use it to retrieve MMS messages.
However when we put the Voda SIM (with GPRS and MMS enabled) into the
Options card and click open the Voda MMS connection the connection it
fails with the message: "Error 734: The PPP link control protocol was
terminated". Actually it is not just Voda - we get the same error
if we do the set-up for T-Mobile.

Does anyone know what's going on and how we can overcome this so that
our application can run over multiple networks - not just Orange?

Thanks in advance for your time and help. If anyone knows a different
forum where I should try asking this please let me know.

Cheers,

Tim.
