i,
I don't have a master reset code although the default codes for the
following are:
SIM PIN 0000
SIM PIN2 1111 (used for Fixed Dialling)
Handsets Lock 0000
When you say
SIM lock, is the phone asking for a PUK (Phone Unlock Key)
or an NUC (Network Unlock Code)?
- The PUK would be the security code set up by the previous user to
access the phone (a four digit number). If this is entered incorrectly
between 3-8 times (dependant on mobile) this will lock the phone on a
permanent basis. The previous owner (i.e. a Vodafone customer, either
pay as you talk or pay monthly) would need to obtain this information
from Vodafone Customer Services if the handset has locked itself and a
PUK was required.
- An NUC (Network Unlock Code) would be needed to use a non-Vodafone
sim in the GX15. Vodafone Customer Services do provide network unlock
codes but only to customers who have either i) a registered Vodafone
Pay As You Talk number, or ii) a Vodafone Monthly contract. This is
because Vodafone need to raise a charge of £19.99 against the account
or calling credit if the mobile is under 12 months old to provide the
NUC. It's not possible for Vodafone to provide an NUC to a non-Vodafone
customer, although third party high street stores may be able to unlock
the device for you.
