Just to make sure a Mobile isnt stolen or anything... thinking of buying on

Even if there was one (which there isn't), it wouldn't protect you as
the phone can be reported stolen at any time, including after you
received it.

Yes there is (see my other reply) and you're completely missing the point !

The idea is to protect against the sale of phones which have *already* been
reported stolen - because if your phone was nicked, you'd be reporting it pretty
much instantly.

The fraud that is someone selling you a phone and then reporting it stolen, is a
completely seperate issue. This is purely fraud - not the sale of stolen goods !

£1 per search, which isn't bad I guess. However, if you only want to use it
once, or infrequently it's a ballache because you have to charge your
account up with £20 before you can use it

I quite like the fact [1] that because I hadn't heard of it, I presumed
