No incoming calls with T-mobile Sim in Nokia 6230 (unlocked from orange)

I unlocked my old Nokia 6230 which was on orange, and ported my number
to T-Mobile (bad move I know!!)

Now if I stick a Voda or Orange chip in the the 6230 behaves as
expected. (not tried an O2)

BUT...If I put my T-mobile chip, or infact anyone's T-mobile chip in
it, I can only dial out, If I call the phone, I get a little icon of a
phone handest in the top left corner quickly flash up, which then
disappears and my caller gets a voice telling them the number is
unavailable.
Not even voicemail even though the account has it set up!!

I've called T-mobile as it seems as though it must be their fault, but
as the handset wasn't supplied by them, they are blaming it on the
phone.
Theres no point taking it to Nokia as it works with any network
provider except T-mobile

Its driving me mad that I can't use the thing, especially as I'm stuck
with a MDA Vario which is even worse but another story...

Has anyone experienced this???

I think it is to do with faulty PAC transfer rather than anything to do
with handset unlocking.

Just put another T-Mob sim in the phone and also the same sim in
another phone to confirm the above.

I am grappling with the same problem. I transferred from O2 to Orange
payg. Outgoing calls work ok but incoming do not work (they work
sometimes if calling from another Orange no). I took it up with Orange
CS but she said she could not help me (as it worked when she called my
phone).

cheers,
Jan
