Anyone got a 9300 with push mail enabled. Was looking at buying 1 online but
all the networks just list talk plans with no details about the push email
service which I believe is £10 a month on blackberry.

    Cheers

Unless I've missed some new software update, I don't think it supports
    push mail.. (I have a 9500)

To push, you'll need to the GPRS connection on virtually all the time,
and software running on the phone to accept incoming connections from
a remote email server setup to do that, or (just as good, and probably
more flexable) software running on the phone that polls your pop/imap
mail provider and sucks it down once a minute. However, this could get
    expensive on standard data tarrifs!

    A quick google and I find http://www.bitween.com/sito/search.php?but=61
which seems to have some software that will run on the 9300/9500 that
will do this polling for you.

But I always wondered about this push technology - do people really want
email pushed to them? More slave to the machine for them, I guess
