T-Mobile charging for voicemail access?

I just noticed that T-Mobile now charge for voicemail access (it was
previously free across the range of pre pay and contract price plans). Does
anyone know when they started to charge?

What tariff? If it's Flext, then nothing's free on that tariff. You
get an enlarged 'allowance' which you spend on calls/texts etc.
