How good are 3 and how much does it cost to call them?

Can someone tell me how good 3 are?
I tried them about 12 months ago.
I was OK... but just about EVERYONE else I knew who was with them
slated and cursed them!

AND: how much does it cost to call 3?
Yes: it's to be paid to be called on.
BUT... if that means no one wants to call you that's NOT good.

If someone has minutes to call any network... does that include 3?

They have a few problems, dropping calls is a favorite of theirs. They
do seem to have some half decent packages at the moment.

Not sure on the exact ppm but I think they are slightly higher to call.

BT Business caller packages cap calls to mobiles except '3'.

I believe some X network deals exclude '3' and some mobile tariffs charge
more to call '3'.

Generally speaking if I am calling someone on '3' I ask them to call me back
as it cost them nothing and costs me loads.


OTOH if you port in a non '3' number landline calls will be charged as for
the original network.

Really? I've been on 3 for 6 months now and not had one dropped call. Had
loads on Orange before that though.

3 was awful a couple of years back. Now they are about as good as anyone
else in my experience and deserve praise for forcing down the cost of phones
and calls drastically.

Most of the negative comments on here about 3 seem to be from people who
aren't actually with 3.

That's fair comment. I found 3 to be bloody useless, so I cancelled as
soon as the 12 month contract was up.

You can hardly expect people who think 3 to be no good to carry on
using it, can you?

It used to be very bad but for the last year or so I have had hardly any
problems at all,, and still have my old NEC616 !....
