Subject: How good are 3 and how much does it cost to call them?
Look for frequent discussions on this elsewhere in the group.

Calls to '3' from BT are more expensive and currently cost
Weekend
Cheap
Standard
All Week 3.97
16.10
21.53
44.03
This will change soon and
"Landline-to-mobile call rates during the daytime will be 13
pence-per-minute (ppm), during the Evenings they will be 8ppm, and during
the Weekend they will be 5ppm. These rates will apply for calls to ALL [BT
emphasis] mobile networks (except Hutchinon
3G) and will make it easier to
manage your calls. For full details on mobile tariff changes visit
bt.com/pricing"
BT Business caller packages cap calls to mobiles except '3'.
I believe some X network deals exclude '3' and some mobile tariffs charge
more to call '3'.
Generally speaking if I am calling someone on '3' I ask them to call me back
as it cost them nothing and costs me loads.
OTOH if you port in a non '3' number landline calls will be charged as for
the original network.
