Contract - usually unlocked, with logo changes
P&G - usually locked with logo changes

If you want a seriously messed up phone, with "gotch'a" T&C, and the SIM
glued in so you can't change it even if you get the phone unlocked then get
a phone from '3'.

If you want to use it on another network you will need to unlock it (but
check first).

As O2 don't generally mess with the menus etc. (unlike say O) there is less
reason for changing the software.
