Orange Retentions Tariff

Just been offered 2900 xnet mins per month for £45 and free broadband on 18
month contract. Does anyone know what tariff this is?

If you remembered to ask for the full name and extension of the agent, and
if the name was intelligible, and if you can ring back when they are on
duty, and if you can get put through to their extension, and if they are not
busy with another call (in a call centre!), and if they can find your file
on the system, and if they can remember what the conversation was last time
you called, and if the offer is still open, and if you are still eligible
and if you weren't a tosser you might have tried to answer the question
instead of coming up with an answer like that - otherwise I suppose the
person offering it might tell you!

He's right, though. Who else would know..? Retentions can offer almost
anything on an individual user basis. Just because one person gets a
particular deal at a particular price is no guarantee anyone else will.

I had a potential customer on Orange, who was making large amounts of
calls abroad using 07744 numbers, and getting a bit annoyed at times
with the associated delays.

I therefore suggested that he move to T-Mobile Business1 where many
calls abroad come out of inclusive mins, plus he would save money.

Orange, however, came back to him with that same tariff that you have
mentioned, and I had to agree with him it was therefore worth the extra
hassle of using callthrough numbers, especially as he was also looking
to take up the free broadband.

I still don't know what the tariff is, I'm afraid, but I can at least
confirm that such a tariff does exist!

I would save a fortune with T Mobile at my Peacehaven address,
i have to travel half a mile from home to get a T Mobile signal.

No, not at all, I just want to ensure that 6 weeks after changing tariff I
don't get a big nasty bill and then discover the tariff isn't as I expected.
I have no reason to doubt the very helpful guy I was dealing with but 2900
xnet minutes and 200 text for £40 does seem by far the best tariff I could
find. I was only looking for some verification from others who may be on
this tariff about the specifics of it. I really don't understand why there
are so many tossers in this newsgroup who answer a question with a question
with clearly no intent to help. Of course, as you can see from the
responses I have received, there are some genuine people who do try to help.

I may be missing something obvious, but doesn't "Business Advance" do the
same?
