Not long ago received a SMS text from Virgin stating that from 3/10/06
to 31/3/07 it's 3p/min to other Virgin mobiles on the standard PAYG
tariff.
(I take it this also applied to those on this tariff, yet pay by DD, as
I wouldn't have though I'd received the text otherwise).

No they will not - like they have never honoured the 3p (currently
free) on-net texts!

I wonder if these calls will also count towards the 5 minutes that all
per-minute chargeable calls normally do (e.g. a crossnet call doesn't
reduce after 5 mins, but does count towards it.)

Extract from the Virgin website:
"These 3p calls still count towards the first 5 minutes of standard calls
each day, even though they are not charged at 15p per minute."

Somehow I managed to miss that. Thanks! Good to know.
