gprs on orange dolphin

Hi,

Coming to the end of an 18 month contract on voda.

im moving to Orange.

Looking to go on Dolphin £35 12 Month. (250+250)

I cant find the GPRS charges anywhere.

Can someone enlighten me pls.

Also, do Orange offer an unlimited GPRS pack?

It's £3 per MB.

There's a number of different bundles available, listed here -

There's

also some new unlimited off-peak bundles for £5/month, which I can't
find on the site.. but they're in this months O shop magazine.

£3 per megabyte is the standard rate. There are bundles if you want to
but Mb in advance and make it cheaper.

Not as an add-on to a voice tariff, no.

This may be true in certain parts of the UK, just as it's true on all the
big 4 networks in certain places. Out of interest, where are you?

I wouldn't dream of using any UK PAYT roaming, because of it's cost
and severly limited capabilities.

Another advantage of Vodafone contract, which might be of use to you
is the sim can then be used in a globalstar satellite phone.

It's also worth noting that voice, data and fax calls will be much cheaper
when roaming on Virgin if you pay by DD instead of top-up. In France, for
instance it's about 60p/min instead of £1.20/min. Incoming calls
similarly half the price.

Can Virgin also roam on satellite phones? I thought they could. I wonder
if the £5.12/MB rate for GPRS data still holds?

Whereas Full roaming usually gives you all or most networks in each country
which strengthens the chances of finding a signal many fold

No idea if a 2nd rate virtual like Virgin has a roaming agreement with any
