    Hello there,
my name is Andrea and here in my country (Italy) i'm making a "war"
against the costs of the mobile phone operators that they put when you
want to "re-charge" your mobile phone credit.
To understand more about my story you can see this euronews service
movie in english language at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OrHeAAZiko
Here the mobile phone companies says that they have the cheapest rates
confronting to the other european countries but I have a lot of doubts
about that and I'm sure that these costs we italians have to pay when
we put money on our mobile phone it exists only in Italy and not in
another country in all the world.
So I would appreciate a lot if you could give me the informations about
the costs of the uk mobile phone companies so that I can compare it
with the italian ones for my "war".
For example I can tell you that one of the plan of one the italian
operatos named "wind" makes this price:
0,10 € / minute (more 0,15 € at the beginning of the call) so if
    you just call for 1 minute you pay 0,15 + 0,10 = 0,25 €
Then you also have to add the "recharge costs" because if I have to pay
25 Euro to get 20 Euro these + 5 euros have to be added on the plan
    costs.
Thanks a lot for your help!
    Best Regards
    Andrea

Actually, Wind's 10c tariff is pretty good I think.

UK prepaids generally cost from 10p to 40p per minute, some with the
same per minute costs to all networks, some to only landlines and same
network mobiles. Many tariffs tend to be more expensive for the first 3
or 5 minutes, either per call or per day.

Thanks. But you confirm that you get on the credit the amount you pay
    and sometimes more than that?
For example in France with Orange if you pay 25 you have 30 Euro, more
you pay more bonus you get.
Here in Italy you get less of what you pay for.
    Regards
    Andrea

The credit as applied in full.

It's surprising the Italian networks have kept this going for so long.
I'm assuming the same would happen on topping up my Wind SIM with an O2
    UK voucher
