    Hello,

I have an O2 PAYG SIM in my Xda Mini S, and have full web access via
GPRS, but can't send or receive POP3 Email, as I believe O2 have
    blocked this for PAYG SIMS.

Is anyone aware of a workaround to enable POP3 Email access on an O2
    PAYG SIM?

No, only email you will be able to access is O2's email addresses.

This was the major reason I ditched them and went to orange.

I was on an old contract tarrif and as far as gprs was concerned I was treated
    as PAYG.

No workaround other than getting mail forwarded to your O2 mailbox.

You will find you do not have full Internet access either.

Actually Dave, I do have full internet access, I have set the Xda to
use the O2 WAP proxy (193.113.200.195:9201) and I can use Google etc,
which I could not do with the standard O2 settings.

Doesn't that only work if you access sites through google ,which can be
    a bit limiting.

No, I can access sites directly, like http://news.bbc.co.uk/mobile/ as
    well as google etc..

If you definately have complete web access, you can use
http://www.mail2web.com/pda/ to check your pop3 email.

    Stew,

Re: "If you definitely have complete web access, you can use

Thanks for the suggestion, I currently have webmail access to my pop3
account, but find it a real pain to use on a small screen, which is why
I would like to get pop3 working on the XDA as it does using WiFi.
