Hi All
I would like to be able to use the divert codes to do the following.
I want a permenant Fax Divert to answerfax service, and want to switch on
and off a voice divert.
I have the divert code programmed as a Speed Dial, but when I send #21# to
cancel the voice divert it also cancels the fax divert.
I have tried a few codes I have found on the internet but when they are used
"Result Unknown" appears and fails to cancel the Voice Divert and generally
does nothing.
The one I used was #21*11# and that didnt seem to work.
Any Help Appreciated.

I'm not quite understanding this
Do you have a separate Orange AnswerFax number?
If not apply for one, one-off fee of £5 or £10 (sorry can't
remember), and it is permanently diverted to record.
To recover recorded faxes, you dial the answerphone from your ordinary
number, select the menu options, then enter the destination number you
want to print at. I used to go to the village shop.
If you already have this and the diversion alters conditionally as
described, I think you'll have to chat to Orange
You could also, or instead, get a fax to email number from your ISP,
eFax or some VoIP providers

BUT - do not use #21# or the "Cancel all diverts" menu option, as this
*will* cancel the answerfax divert as well, you'll have to call OCS to get
it reinstated.
Have you (the OP) asked for "no auto-divert to answerphone" to be
enabled..? If you don't do this, *no* codes will work.
IMO it's safer to use the menu options rather than *# codes.

Thanks for all the constructive replies.
I have not set any diverts with OCS.
I have a fax and data service with orange, and a seperate number for each of
them, when someone sends me a fax, I want it to go always to the answerfax
so I can set it to print where I need the fax, but I also want to switch on
and off a voice divert. I have them programmed as speed dials in the phone,
one number to setup the other to cancel, but when I cancel I use #21# and
that cancels the Answerfax divert also.
The phone must be sending a correct code because when the menu is used to
cancel a voice divert the answerfax one remains.
Thanks again

Well it will, #21# by definition cancels *all* diverts.

Voice diverts have to be set up and cancelled individually (no answer, out
of service/coverage etc.), there is no single code that I am aware of that
cancels all voice diverts but leaves the fax/data ones alone.

Leave the answerfax divert alone. Simply use the handset menu to
divert/cancel your voice divert.
