Probably been asked loads of times bfore, but looking for user experience
of Three comapred with Orange or Vodafone..
Especially interested in service availability, signal strength, coverage
and customer service (especially wait times when phoning)
Any feedback appreciated

IMHO Three have come on in leaps and bounds and are much much better than
they were even a year ago.

Relatively speaking. OTOH there were recent reports of them supergluing
SIM's into phones, so you decide if you want to deal with a company like
this.

Only been with Three for a few days and am pleasently surprised,
reception is far better than I tought it would be. I have got the N73
on X-Series Silver. I am really pleased I can use data without the
worry that I would need a new mortgage when the bill turns up.

ones for £20.

This is exactly the package I am interested in. WHat are the X series
services like?

Re: Feedback about Three
I'm on the X-Series Silver (£5pm)
MobileMail: Always on email, but saps the battery, so don't forget its on
overnight.
Email: With the Nokia built-in email client I can connect to many email
addresses and have it check it every 1hr or so.
YahooGO: Check my yahoo email. Don't use the Yahoo Messenger.
MSN Messenger: Works a tret, apart from when you have no one online, tends
to crash out when that happens.
Mobilcast: Crap
Skype: Works great and the sound quality is very good. Just need to get more
friends using skype.
Internet: Loaded OperaMini runs a lot faster than the nokia browser. Check
feeds, visit forums, check MSN Email, anything.
Think that's all the x-series apps? I've also loaded additional apps onto my
N73 to enchance my listening pleasure.
S60 Internet Radio: Listen to any shoutcast radio stream on you mobile. Been
loading ones with ACC+ and low bitrate, sounds still the same and doesn't
use that must data up. Well I've got 1GB to use up!
Rebranded my Three N73 to the Euro1 Music Edition. Music player is must
better and you can add albumn art to tracks.

Re: Feedback about Three
Also you can playback all BBC Radio shows, just click on the listen again
from the website and it will automatically open Real Player for you.

The £20 flip phone (ZTE F866) I heard was superglued. The Motorola C975
not glued, not the ones I've had from both superdrug and ordered from 3
online.

if you have one that is glued in, what happens if you take it to service
centre as it's "faulty" as surely it would be categorised as such from
manufacturer spec?

I joined them beginning of November, spoke to CS in India (at least they
use their 'real' names and not some fake English sounding name). This
was to port my number over, had no problems with them, very pleasant and
even phoned back to confirm the details and the port details were
accepted OK.
Friends called them with help on Messenger Live and they were happy with
the support, in fact they thought they were excellent.
Seems things maybe going in the right direction.
