Is this possible? Vodafone's web site says to dial:

    **61*+44xxxxyyyyyy*10*nn#

where xxxx yyyyyy is your voicemail number and nn is the delay in
seconds between 5 and 30, but if I try it I just get back "Invalid
    request".

Should work, make sure the length is a multiple of 5, and try
dialling *#104# first to make sure you've got the right
    voicemail box number.

And also make sure you enter the mailbox number in international
format, and that the divert you are setting does not already exist (ie
    - trying to set it at 30 seconds when it already is 30seconds)

If it still doesn't work, either call CS, or go to www.vodafone.co.uk,
then contact us, as it may be a fault on the network. If you include
FIT165 in the body of the email, it will be forwarded onto someone who
    can help

    Hi,

It's only possible to change the ringtone duration on a pay monthly
contract. With pay as you talk the duration will remain set at 15
    seconds.

    James,
Does that code make it ring for 25seconds before going to voicemail? If not
then how long before it switches?
    TIA

Vodafone's Contact Us form wants my home phone number, name, address
and date of birth, which is outrageous when all that is required to
reply is an email address. It's an invitation to indentity theft - no
    thanks.

yes for 25 seconds. you can divert after 30 seconds; but putting 30 where 25
is doesnt seem to work for me. Instead you will have to use the phone's menu
to set the 30 second divert.

The reason we ask for your name, pin number etc is so that we can
confirm your identity, to comply with the current DPA laws. The email
system uses https, which is a secure connection (exactly the same
connection as online banking etc), however, if you are uncomfortable
using the internet to give personal details, you can call 191 and speak
    to customer services.

But I don't want to give out my identity. I prefer to remain
anonymous. Why shouldn't I be able to? I only wanted to know how to
alter a setting on a mobile phone, ffs.

    The world's gone crackers.
