Just failed a credit check on e2save. First credit check I have failed

Can't really work out why. The credit check on e2save never asked how
much I was earning or anything, so how do they score it? I have 2 credit
cards (HSBC, and Morgan Stanley Platinum) - both paid by direct debit
and looking at experian got the 0000000 meaning all payments received on
    time.

My total borrowing limit is £2000. Which is not a huge limit really, and
not something I wouldn't be able to support.

I have been in job for a year now (am 21) as an "MPLS data network
    designer" - what gives?

Oh, also - I tried signing up on Equifax to view credit report on there,
but it said they are experiencing problems right at the end when they
tried to take my credit card details. Should the experian credit report
that I have access to (30 day trial) show the e2save/three search? I can
see my previous credit searches (ones I expected to see - but then I was
    accepted)

    Many thanks

    Which network?

If it was 3 the indian monkey probably put the details in wrong.

If it was O2 try O2 direct, e2save have their own O2 service
    provider.

I'd recommend whichever company it was really to try them
direct, probably find you pass no problems.

It was 3. Problem is I'm a bit of a cashback junkie. Maybe it was a
blessing in disguise as I was probably going to only get into trouble
for using my 3 sim in my current W850i

When the Experian website finally works properly (it mucked up when I
entered my credit card details - great!) - If say, the details were
entered wrong would this show on my credit file as wrong? Or just not
    show at all.

Searching this newsgroup shows a number of fails on e2save. I have a
number of friends who have mobile contracts with various operators, and
a lot have missed payments on a number of occasions and still have no
    problem.

Depends on which bits were wrong, if you got current *and* past
addresses wrong, then it's likely that that wouldn't show on the report
as they wouldn't be able to match it with you.

If you got either the current or past address wrong then that would
show, as would spelling your name wrong.

Although the credit file is only about yourself, and you can remove
incorrect details from the report and you can remove people who you
aren't financially tied too, unless you inform them as such these
details will be listed on your report (incorrect addresses, incorrect
    names etc).

Thanks for this information {{{{{Welcome}}}}} - it is very interesting.
Checking my credit file with Experian everything seems normal and
    nothing is concerning at all.

Though I note a couple of things

Littlewoods - Down as settled. Does this come into consideration for
lenders? I'd have thought not as it shows the account is closed and I
    don't owe anything. Correct?

HSBC - I've got a credit card with them from my student account with
only a £500 limit. TBH I rarely use it, preferring my other card since
it gives cashback (albeit it only 1%) - Perhaps I should cancel this card?

Best to order a order a Statutory Credit Report, costs £2 per report/agency
just incase there is anything else on there.

    experian.co.uk
    equifax.co.uk
    callcredit.co.uk

Read Experian's just online - everything looks fine and as expected.
Tried Equifax but the signup process messed up, so awaiting their
customer care to hopefully fix it.

Will see if the search is there at all (It should be!) or if it's typed
in wrong somewhere. Needless to say I was surprised.

To be fair to them, they can only go on the data supplied to them. I
just wonder what is on my Equifax report - since that's who 3 are meant
to do the credit check with.
