    Hi
    I have been given a Motorola V3 locked/customised to Vodafone - I've
unlocked it OK for T-Mobile but it still has
the Vodafone logo coming up when I switch on and off and the Vodafone 'Live'
    icon on the screen.
Is there any way of removing this stuff? Also will it be possible to set up
    e-mail & the browser for T-mobile?
Not a big problem if I can't do either but it would be handy to have the
    e-mail facility.

    Any help/info would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Conrad

Re: Removing Vodafone customisation - how to ?

    Hi Conrad.

I work for Vodafone and may be able to help.

The reason is that although you have unlocked the handset, it still
contains Vodafone software. To remove it, you will need to get the
handset flashed (like formatting your computer), this will then remove
the Vodafone software, and replace it with the standard Motorola
    software.

Regarding email and setting up the browser, yes you will be able to do
this, although you'll need to contact T-mobile for the settings.

    Hope this helps

    Hello

Thanks for the info - when you say 'get the handset flashed' is this
something I can do with, say a downloaded program
or do I have to take it into a phone shop or whatever?
I'm a bit of a newbie with phones but I'm quite happy to do anything on
a PC so if I you can tell me which program and/or instructions I need for
flashing the phone I'll have a go.

    Thanks

    Conrad
