Orange SPV C600 - unlock ?

Can these phones be unlocked, I have just upgraded to a K800i and was going
to use it as our spare family phone (we have O and O2 in the family)?

Have done some research on Google and some sites say yes, so long as you are
happy editing the phone and some say no.

I've not got round to calling OCS yet but thought I would try here first.
