Mobile Phone Position Tracking

My father does quite a bit of hill walking. I've heard mobile phones can be
tracked with the consent of the mobile phone owner. Which we would like to
do incase anything goes wrong well he's out hill walking. Does anyone know
of a good, cheap and trustworthy site to use for the purpose of tracking the
position of mobile phones, I would prefer a pay as you go option over a
monthly subscription.

Just get him to text you or call with a GPS location at agreed times.

OK, thanks guys. He does have a GPS so I guess that's probably the way to
