I cant make a video call from my 3G Sim although I can recieve one. If I
swap SIMS between mine and my wifes then I can make a call which excludes
the phone as been the problem.
As mine is a works SIM, is it possible for my employers to have blocked the
video calling feature?
It dont matter that much as I can connect to the internet with my laptop and
use MSN/Webcam through 3g connection (which does work, that not been
disabled)
TIA

Yes, they are able to do that. My company phone (2G) has GPRS blocked, so I
have to use WAP to get all the rugby, cricket & football results and news.

Perhaps you mean "have to use dial-up" instead?

It is possible, whilst you may have a phone capable of video
calling, the feature still has to be added to your network
profile, if it's not there, it wont work.

Thought as much, gits, lol.
I was using the USIM in a 2g phone to connect via GPRS to the net with my
laptop. I will now use it in a N73 and connect via UMTS where available and
use MSN and webcam. Where there is a will.........

Re: No Video Call on o2 3g
I had a 3G nokia N70 with o2 for a year and despite numerous phonecalls they
still could not get video calling to work. It's more a gimmick than anything
to be honest. I left o2 anyway.

Nope, I mean WAP, which is the generic term used for the initial way of
viewing the Internet on a mobile phone, later superceeded by GPRS. You can
also refer to it as dial up, but then dial up can also refer to a general
"old style" pc based Internet connection.

GPRS is a way a of transporting data (as is dial-up).
WAP is a protocol.
The two cannot be compared.

God, you must be soooooo interesting at parties. Like I said, WAP is
generally understood to mean the initial way of viewing Internet over a
mobile, GPRS is the next.
Did you know if I called my vacuum cleaner a hoover I would technically be
wrong, as that is a brand name. You can quote that interesting fact to the
girls next time you're at a party and no one wants to speak to you.

Don't worry, you and Jon will get on fine at parties, you'll have someone to
chat to.

Tha is your opinion, however it is not mine, and it is factually
inaccurate.
