    Hi,
We use a Nokia 8310 and a Nokia 6510. They're old, but we like 'em!

However they both suffer from a firmware bug where the phone crase and
reboots, usually when you're about to send a text. Now if this was a
few years ago then we could just have the latest firmware added at a
nokia service centre, but the ones I've called have deleted their
files, and can't even tell me what the latest formware version are.

    My 8310 has v5.11 (27/5/2)
(I've actually just bought a 'new boxed' 6510 off ebay to replace my
wife's current 6510, so I don't know yet what version the new 6510
    has.)

Anyone know how I can upgrade the firmwares / do it myself?
Or know what the latest versions are?
(Are they the same file for these two models?)

    Thanks in advance,
    Dz

You need some very expensive hardware and some knowledge. If you've only
got the two to do I would send it somewhere and get it done.
