The N95 timestamps SMS messages with the date and time the message was
received to the phone, not the date & time that the message was sent.
(Obviously these will differ if the phone is off for a while and the
message is queued in the network.)

Is there any way to fix this as knowing when the message was sent is
kinda important to me? Email via Nokia's website is completely ignored -
    now there's a surprise.

Oddly, the information *is* in there because SMS messages viewed using
the Nokia PC Suite software are shown with the correct time of sending.

Is this a Nokia problem or should I go whinge on a Symbian site? :-)

    Thanks in advance.

Have the same on my SE K800i at first glance, altho on that phone you can
use the "properties" or "message details" and it tells you time
    sent/received.
On Nokia 6300 i went thru the sent items and under "Message Details" it
tells you the time message was sent and also says "Message Received" but no
    time stamp ;-(

I don't know anything about the phone

Is there something in the message details? Scroll down at the end of
    the message

Or is that timed by the phone, not the properties of the message? I
think the latter, as I still have times there for messages in a phone
    with the clock not set.
