My daughter's old Nokia has given up the ghost on a Virgin PAYG (it was
over 3 years old) and needs a new phone that will work on Virgin ASAP.
Anyone know of decent shop offers?
Will a phone bough with T-Mobile PAYG or Tesco PAYG work with her SIM?
Thanks, Steve

T-Mobile phone will work, as will another Virgin Mobile, Tesco won't
that runs on O2, though if you get the right phone you could unlock it
free.

Try your local supermarket or Virgin Megastore.

T-Mobile should be OK, apart from all the setting for MMS, internet etc.
Doesn't tesco use O2? Steer clear.

£20 from your local Argos.

As long as her current number is registered with Virgin you can get the
above handset direct from Virgin with a 200 minute bundle for £14.99.
She would just use her current sim card.
Go to www.virginmobile.com and log into her account. Click on Rewards
with Red and then click on upgrade phone. You will see all the available
handsets with the free 200 minutes.
If you haven't registered her account then give them a call, they should
be able to sort it for you at £14.99. Sales number is 0845 6000 070.

You could do that to save some money, but I kind of got the feeling that the
OP was after one urgently and that won't arrive until next week after the
Bank Holiday. Where as you could pop down to your local Argos, featured in
most towns and have the phone this morning.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.
It seems her current phone has an error as it keeps locking up. Turning
it off and on again fixes it for a while so I have told her to turn it
off overnight and hopefully it will work enough in the day to last a few
more days.
I got her a W200I Walkman Phone off the Virgin website, with her reward
money it came in under £30 and she gets an extra free 200 minutes too.
Thanks again!

Take the battery *off* as well, just to be 'belt & braces'.
