Odd issue with my N80.
It started about 10pm last night (or earlier). The phone just had a
white screen. Nothing else on it. A couple of restarts got the display
on temporarily, but that was short lived to. As restarting the phone
eventually had no effect.
Took the battery out overnight. Took out the memory card. Also reseated
the SIM card.
Still no display, just a white background.
I just plugged the charger in, and I got a display! So I unplugged the
charger, restarted the phone, and I still had a display. Looks good.
Two minutes later, Im back to a white screen. And plugging the charger
back in has no effect!
Couple of hours later now, and the displays back on.
Quite perplexing.
Any thoughts?

Hell yes!
Thats the phrase I reserve for the very special occasions where I really
really feel the need to state the obvious!

Try taking the battery out and leaving it in a warm airing cupboard for 2-3
days. This seems to be the standard treatment for a moistened phone, luckily
I've never had to put that to the test (yet).

I would say so. Run it through firmware update - might sort it out.

Could be. Could also be crap software.

In reality this is a really poor phone. I'd get a new one (and if your
insured ask for a different handset!).
