I recently changed my phone from a nokia 6610i and find out to my horror it
didn't save any of my contact details to the sim, is there any way possible
I can retrieve back my phone contacts, as I no longer have access to the
phone, just the sim.

Please note there's little or no need to cross-post to uk.telecom
when the subject matter is exclusively "mobile". There was once a
regular poster (PGS) in uk.telecom whose major complaint about the
setting up of u.t.mobile was that people would cross-post a lot.
Thankfully, that has not been the case, but there still seem to be
many who are ignorant of the existence of u.t.mobile, and others
who, for no apparent reason, see fit to cross-post.

I would email you some potential solutions, but you`ve chosen to hide your
email address, making this impossible.

Why not post them here instead then?
Also, I'd be interested to hear how you propose to retrieve information
stored on the handset when the OP doesn't have access to it anymore,
apart from the obvious one of looking back through itemised bills.

Because I wanted to discuss this matter directly with the OP, to see what
ways we could think of to get the data back.

Fair enough, but let me save you some time. There is only one way - get
the handset back.

There are at least 2 other possibilities to rebuild at least part of the
contacts list, any ideas?

If he's in contact with the new owner theoretically he ocould ask the
new owner to faff around with a PC program and end up with a .csv file,
but as it's a 6110 (wasn't it?) this is going to rely on the new owner:
1. co-operating
2. not having wiped it all already
3. having a PC with infrared, downloading the nokia PC suite and
spending time on it working
4. having the ability to convey by email the output
As I understood it the OP is not in contact with the new owner, hence
none of the above is possible.

Duh! You forgot to include hypnosis. He could stop smoking and lose
weight as well as get his contacts back.
