Hi All,
I've just 'upgraded' my trusty 3510i to a 6310i (mainly for bluetooth)
and managed to move all my contacts across via the (PAG) SIM and then
backup my contacts with Nokia PC Suite via the 6310i.
At first I couldn't send texts so used T-Mobs online settings updater
to sort that (plus adding the message centre number manually).
However, when I press-hold 1 to get my voice mails it does connect as
normal (121) but the auto voice lady tells me they are sending me a
text 'containing my voicemail access number and to turn my phone off
and on again' then it carries on and I get my voicemail's as normal?
I switch the phone off/on but keep getting the message and texts when
I re-connect?
Is this something I can set on the phone or do I need to speak to
T-Mob CS please?
All the best ..

Chances are your new 6310i does not have CPHS enabled, because it
didn't read the SMS and voicemail numbers from the SIM.
You can either enable CPHS by using an old copy of Logomanager and a
DLP-3P serial datacable, or IIRC you can try getting the access number
from your old 3510i.
Finally if the above does not work you could try and set up voicemail
again using your old 3510i by dialling 222 and then copying the
+44nnn7xxxxxxxxx access number to your new handset assuming your old
3510i is CPHS enabled.
HTH,
Sam.

Re: Keep getting text's on accessing voicemail?
121 is the voicemail number on vodafone not t-mobile. call 222 and they
should send a sim update with the correct number so that when you hold the
'1' key it dials your own voicemail number. if not type *#62# and the
number should be displayed (something like +440717......) make a note and
you can then manually enter this in messages menu instead of the 121.
each t-mobile customer has their own voicemail number rather than the
generic 121, or 123, 901 etc
