I currently have a T-Mobile MDA (HTC Wizard) and the web 'n' walk 200
    plan.

I want to change to a new HTC Touch and I would like to have the
option of using 3G for data. I have had a quick look around and T-Mob
WnW still looks to be the best data plan available.

So I am thinking of buying an HTC Touch as T-Mob does not sell them
and using my WnW with it, but.....

Does this make sense? should I be chaning to another plan? and if I
stay with T-Mob can I get a better deal on the WnW 200 package if I
    buy a phone elsewhere?

Its so complicated to try and compare the offers from different
    providers ....

Is the HTC Touch a 3G phone?

The specs say "Tri-band GSM with GPRS/EDGE"

As you've discovered, the HTC Touch isn't 3G.

WnW is for GPRS or 3G - it isn't restricted to one or the other - as you
said, you've got a Wizard (2G) and WnW already.

I understood that T-Mobile (UK) was going to introduce the HTC Touch:
    <http://www.europe.htc.com/z/pdf/press/EMEA_HTC_Touch_Release_FINAL.pdf>

"T-Mobile will launch a customised version of the device which will be
named the MDA Touch across key European markets. The innovative and
strong multi-media feature set of the MDA Touch will be a powerful fit
    to T-Mobile’s “web’n’walk” proposition.

“With this month’s launch of the MDA Touch, we are proud to be launching
one of the first true touch screen phones for our markets. T-Mobile is
continuing its successful cooperation and development of innovative
products with HTC as partner,” says Michael Hagspihl, Executive Vice
President Terminal Management, T-Mobile International. “T-Mobile already
set standards in the past by providing its customers with innovative
PDAs like the MDA Vario II and Ameo.”"

    Hope that's helpful to you.
