Looking at Vodafone's data prices I doubt you'll find a good deal.

You don't want an N95 - seriously !!
I sold mine after 2 months and paid off the contract. Battery life
isn't great, loose slider etc.
FWIW I would say it is an over-priced phone.
Cheers
Jim!

What did you get instead?
What would you recommend?
My Bro-In-Law is on his 3rd N95 from Orange and he's ready to send that one
back cos it keeps losing the wifi connection.
From what I've seen of the N95 its just the N73 with some add-ons (5MP
Camera and GPS), so you think they might have sorted all the problems they
found with the N73 before releasing the N95. From what I've read on various
forums and newsgroups they have made it worse.
Will we just gave to wait a year or so for the N95i with all these problems
sorted?

Really not my experience at all! I have a N95 on O2, one of the first
that was supplied after the release and like most O2 phones, it is a
"vanilla" Nokia product with minimal O2 branding. It has adequate
battery life - needs charged once a day but that is not a problem in my
view, and has not crashed, hung, failed to operate at all.
I strongly suspect that many of the problems arise from network version
software screwing up operation. YMMV.

I got an XDA Orbit a couple of weeks ago. The GPS is much much
better, battery life is 3 - 4 days (with push email enabled).
Now I've flashed it to Windows Mobile 6 (Thanks to XDA Developers)
it's capable of VOIP as well. Lot's more software availabloe for it
as well.
The camera isn't as good - but then again I don't use the camera much
on a phone.
Cheers
Jim!

If you really want to use an n95 then I suggest you don't bother with
Vodafone unless you want to pour money into data fees.

If you want the full capability of the N95 don't go for Vodafone.
Posts here have said that they disable voip, Orange definitely does.
I wouildn't buy a phone at that price where the operator had disabled
part of the phone and voip is one of the main reasons for me wanting
the phone anyway.
Here's a youtube video re the Orange N95.

O2 deals are expensive so that leaves T-Mobile. There are some good
deals on the Flext 35 tariff.

I would go so far as to say avoid all Nokia N series phones.
I had a N80 for a short while. It was a piece of ****. Ended up tossing it
off the top of a building.
Then had a N73 loan handset. That was also a piece of ****. Dropped it off
the top of a cell mast.
A week ago I was given an N95. Once again, its a piece of ****. I havent
quite decided on its fate ... but it will involve a long drop onto concrete.
Its quite funny ... Nokia, a company that lost its way 3 or 4 years ago -
now bundles GPS on its phones.

I've got a Nokia N73 and I like the concept of it, but if they could just
fix the speed, the memory eating, the bluetooth, the call quality, the
battery life, the web browser, the mains cable and sync cable quality! They
might be on to a winner...
Oh F!, , who am I kidding its crap isn't it?

Actually, if you're more interested in data than voice, there's at least
one even better deal than the brochure or website would suggest.
The brochure lists Web 'n' Walk Plus (the one that also lets you use the
phone as a modem) as only being available on Flext 25 -- £37.50 per
month -- and above. But through a T-Mobile shop I managed to get a Web
'n' Walk Plus upgrade on Web 'n' Walk Flext 20.
£32.49 per month for £34 of calls and texts plus all the data I can
shake a stick at (actually it's capped at 3GB but I can't imagine ever
needing that). Even if Vodafone hadn't already been pissing me around so
much over the data rates (http://tinyurl.com/2wly6c) I'd have found it
difficult not to switch providers at that price.
I can't remember how much the N95 would have been because I was more
than happy with (another) free K800i, but the Nokia was available at a
price with that deal had I wanted it.
Obviously for heavy voice users the Flext 25 plan is probably better, as
it gives you £60 of calls. My usage is mostly data, and I'm now paying
£3.50ish per month less than I was paying Vodafone and getting unlimited
data traffic. It's a no-brainer.
