best reception in a mobile new or old or antenna add on

Have moved into new offices and can only get 1 bar reception if i walk
about tried an old 6210 and its better but was wondering if i can get
even better even with an older model or an antenna to use with any phone?

newer handsets measure reception in different ways, wot maybe full reception
on the old phone may just be 1 bar on the new one and so on.

what are your calls quality like?

if i get a signal callls are fine really looking for an external antenna
to fix to the back of the nokia i think
