I've had this phone for a couple of months, but have had major
problems with Internet access. I have a T-Mobile SIM only plan with
Web 'n' Walk. Since day one, I have had intermittent problems browsing
and using Windows Live mail. I could make and receive calls OK, but
despite having good signal strength, could not sync Live mail or
browse websites. I would switch the phone off and back on and
sometimes this would help and other times it wouldn't. Most of the
time I would get a SIM card not recognised message when switching the
phone back on.
In frustration, I got T-Mobile to replace the SIM. This didn't help,
so I got the phone replaced. This hasn't helped either. T-Mobile don't
want to know as they didn't supply the phone and don't support it. I'm
sure if I get the phone replaced again I'll still have the same
problem. I don't know what to do next. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Martin.

I had a "Sim card not recognised" error on my Nokia e61 on the 3
network. It used to give it to me occasionally, even when not using
the phone, if I had very low signal indoors.

Is a firmware upgrade available?
I've had similar problems (other than SIM not recognized) with an ex
Orange SPVC550 (also HTC) and T-mobile. It seems that at times the phone
stops talking to its own GSM stack possibly because the network has sent
something to confuse it.
Switching flight mode on and off would help in my case. Though it would
take some time to enter flight mode in the first place.

No firmware upgrade available as yet. I also found that toggling
flight mode sometimes help. I guess it has the same effect as
rebooting the phone in terms of the network connection. However, it's
still hit and miss as to whether it fixes it or not. Yesterday I was
getting push alerts for new email all day long. This morning I haven't
been able to sync or access the web at all.
